This requires stepping through the threshold of control, and I'm pretty nervous about it. It will take complete seizure of the identity and I'll basically have to hold my hands around his throat until he quits struggling, while simultaneously dealing with people that want him to stay the miserable fuck he's always been.

Better than letting the body go to waste though, right?Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07624890678329012106noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3028267697115043579.post-43321165753351065582016-11-08T22:45:00.001-08:002016-11-08T22:45:10.205-08:00Constitutional Convention, You're Our Only HopeHey - watch this:
Correct me if I'm wrong - but all the vets that died swore an oath to the Constitution
so if we work within it's text, we're honoring the troops

If you can't afford rehab, you can always talk yourself into some Ward Time, right?

Here's the deal: I've been infected with some hella dangerous memes, and I should definitely be quarantined. Unfortunately, society hasn't figured out the meme thing yet any further than the notion of the ones in their social media streams - so they don't see the danger.

How the fuck do you not feel entitled
where #yolo = true
is seemingly accurate?

Can we just throw everyone in Congress that didn't grow up watching Star Trek out on their asses?

Our money is entirely fictional,
look at what we do to each other
for its sake

Can we tax the government for every instance of suffering they allow to occur - sue them for grossly negligent use of funds?
Keep me safe and I'll look away, promise.

Gofundme - scrape 7% off the top of people helping people.

Anyway, the plan was to buckle down at work after the vacation and save up enough cash for evac/rehab. Having failed in that department and instead being addiction's bitch, I now have 4 days to do (conservative estimate) 30/hrs worth of work on risk of termination and maybe 72 hours in which to do it.

Maybe though, termination is exactly what I need. Maybe it's better to drown than keep your head afloat in some waters.

They drilled that 'A mind is a terrible thing to waste' shit into me in the eighties, ACLU probably - and so I have to carry around this guilt that I'm burning up this one struggling to adapt to mediocrity.

One of two things:
Either I have a magnificent mind that's worth something to the right people, and I merely like the social skills and insight to find those connections.

Or

I'm just another yayhoo and you'd be doing us both a favor by varying your stance on palliative euthanasia,..
I can't even fathom the time I live in, man. It constantly blows my mind. Now is so far accelerated past anything I could have imagined growing up. You know, like the meme says - these phones could send rockets to the moon with the right apps.

People expect too much from people. We want people to justify their existences constantly. We want them all to be just like us, to parrot our value system. Why? Why should anyone have to spend all day working at a job that is boring for them? Why should anyone have to conform to the standards established by anyone else?

Even 300 years ago when a laborer could only produce enough food to feed 4 people with his daily labor, that means only a quarter of us should have to be working at any given time. Today, a single farmer can produce enough food to feed 150 people easily. There is no longer any need for us to struggle constantly, and yet it is the ungenerous attitude of puritanical people that keeps our society in a frenzy just to survive.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with leisure. Personally, I'd like to see earth transformed into a vacation spot where we work one day a month and spend the rest of it enjoying ourselves, learning, growing, debating, producing art, sexualizing each other. We only live this lifetime once. Why make it so dull and soul crushing? I want to dance beneath the stars drunk on the ecstasy of being alive, you can't do that in our western civilization, at least not often.

Between religious people telling us life is a curse and capitalists actively trying to make it a curse for us, there's almost no room to breathe on this planet.

I want true independence. I want true immortality. I want true freedom, and as far as I can see everywhere I look the world is full of shackles and cages and peasants. Even our president isn't free. He lets one word slip out of his mouth in the wrong way and his entire life would be destroyed. That's not freedom.

We work so hard to get ourselves a little house in a subdivision surrounded by people who couldn't care less who we really are as a person. We go all day to a job that is boring to us. We hate every moment of it. We dread every moment of it. We joke to try to cope with it calling it a "case of the Mondays," laughing about "hump day," or exclaiming with relief, "Thank God it's Friday!" and then we blink our eyes, the weekends over the cycle of slavery begins all over again the next week.

We laugh politely at our coworkers, surrounded by people we'd never choose to know if we had any other choices. We step to it when our boss demands something of us fearing termination. We live paycheck to paycheck always knowing that life is dragging us under, always knowing that we aren't saving enough to get out of our situation let alone retire, and we pray for that sudden heart attack to take us so our families at least have enough money to survive on after we're gone.

This is no way to live. We fear the zombie apocalypse. Look around you. We're living in it, and I'm one of the last damned people alive on this planet full of blank eyed slaves and I'm praying with everything in me that I don't contract whatever it is that has caused them all to become so mindless and automatic. What caused them to give up hope? What caused them to abandon pleasure? What caused them to lose their imaginations?

This is death. This is living death. We have let them lead us by the hand into a world outside of our own designs and it is unsuitable for human habitation. ~
A death is uncommon enough to be disruptive to our dominant routines, and as such, creates opportunities for reflection that we aren't otherwise afforded.
As far as I know, this was the first funeral that I attended that was also a webcast - and it's this novelty that drew my attention not only to the death industry, but also to the fact that it too - evolves.
It's often said that prostitution is the oldest profession, but the death industry is definitely in the running. Both were definitely very early cultural manifestations, but those performing rituals for life events probably predate currency.
Discussions with other funeral attendees swung toward the handling of our own inevitable demises, and thoughts along those lines caused a reflection on the various related ceremonies to which we've been memetically exposed - as well as their origins.
I've read often enough of early struggles in the death industry, such as inadvertent premature burials - dealt with by bells attached to strings leading into coffins. My understanding of a wake is the notion of loved ones drinking together alongside the body, making sure that there is no awakening prior to the burial.
Since the industry does evolve, and the evolution of our culture dictates the direction in which it does - I am thinking about how to direct that evolution within my sphere of influence. Even if that influence is only to our my own ceremony - here is what I'd like:
I'd like for what remains of my body to be cremated, as if any of my parts offer someone else the opportunity for a fuller life, they are welcome to them.
I'd like my ashes to be in attendance at a gathering of people wishing to extend condolences to each other, and for there to be consciousness altering substances available to the attendees. At least an open bar, dependent on legalities.
I'd like those willing to get behind a camera and record an anecdote of the role I was fortunate enough to play in their lives - to be collected in a digital archive available to those wishing to remember me in the future.
Afterward, I'd like my ashes made available to anyone who wants them - and if no one does - well, I don't really care what's done with them.

we/he - I am me, but me and I don't see eye to eye

Ugh, I can feel the self-consciousness creeping in
Like a sickly warmth crawling up my back
After oozing out of a hole in my spine

Off with you Gremlin, I shall stand naked and fearless, with naked fear
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
Do you understand the weight of being at the nexus of infinite possibilities?

Bioshock Infinite was/is free for xbox gold members this month - and if it had a theme, I'd say that's probably it. What we don't think about is that we stand in that Nexus every day. It doesn't seem like it because we're comfortable and automated. Think of your daily morning subroutines.

I'm supposed to decide which path to choose among infinite possibility, and I don't even know what I want to eat.
Bachelor Chow.

Okay, that's true - I want to each bachelor chow.
I'd crowdsource/fund a privatized prison
Where only non-violent offenders on marijuana charges
Would be housed in a prison/labor farm
Where they'd be taught and work to grow the stuff
To be sold in state run dispensaries
That help fund its operation
That there are those that do - is evidence of itself. I noted when finding the clip of this to share the description on YouTube:

This is a clip that I edited and posted on YouTube. I use this clip in my Intercultural Communication course to introduce students to issues of language differences in intercultural situations.

During video answer the following questions:
Would you face the same experience? Have you?
Can you figure out the language?
What advice would you offer when interacting with people and you both don't speak the others' language (in short, lessons learned?)?

The "Picard Principle" of Intercultural Communication:
In the clip Picard says "Communication is a matter of patience [and] imagination."
What does that phrase mean? Is it true?

Do a Google search on "Darmok Dictionary"
http://www.williamhartphd.com/

You should be able to grok it if you get:
_I'm So Meta, Even This Acronym_ - can we just use #ismeta as a tag on stuff these days?
We speak in shows. Do you speak _Firefly_? Just watch anything that has it's own convention, you'll see the subdialects.
So - if the goal is flow, and flow is an alignment of archetype and identity that allows of the greatest flow directly from our unique source frequency - and the whole chakra system is a valid metaphorical interface with those energies. we must learn to exercise greater discernment over our energy levels.

From a Diabo-esque video game interface perspective, if we're at full health our mana will recharge slowly over time. The rate of recharge can be aligned for maximum flow by judicious use of it, like a muscle - and/or spells/further gamification of maximizing our ability to achieve flow.

Haha, this was supposed to be framed for the internet marketing and HOA crowd, and look where I took it. I feel a bit like Havoc from the X-men over here.

Point being - when we achieve flow, we have to learn where to channel our energies for maximum effectiveness - if we want to be one of those goal oriented people. I try and remember that maybe the blacksmith is cool with just being a blacksmith. Not everyone wants to be an adventurer, and there are infinite types of adventures to be had on this Ride.

For the intended crowd - this is about how managing our energy through various channels (blog, HOA, twitter feed, plus stream, plus notifications) is paramount in achieving what it is we're here to do. Theoretically, discernment over energy use is always beneficial, regardless of the framing.

What I've learned from that crowd is that the best bet is probably to capture it as raw video, and repurpose it through YouTube onto your blog. Even if you have to reshoot the concept to polish it up before you release it - you'll have video record of the good stuff - and so will the algorithms - and maybe the NSA.

It's rooted in the notion that the most basic premise of neuroplasticity that you'll get more efficient at doing whatever it is you practice. It's a slight twist on "What am I doing?" with a built in reminder that you're getting better at whatever you do. At the same time, it's an invitation to question whether or not you want to get better at what you find yourself doing at the moment you ask it. That line of questioning conveniently leads to the opportunity to compare what it is you're doing, what you're practicing, with the goals you have.

If you want to take the introspection a little bit deeper - if practicing introspection is one of your goals, you can hit yourself with the followup question: How is this serving me?

As far as I can tell, everything you do is in service to you in some way, shape, or form. When it's not readily apparent how what I'm doing is serving me or when what I find myself doing is not in alignment with my goals, I like to examine it from the perspective of identity reinforcement. I've found this to be a fairly efficient mechanism for uncovering beliefs about myself that like to hide under my conscious awareness, and often find my unexamined actions to be reinforcing those beliefs.

Less now than before (as I've been practicing) I would find myself scrolling through my social media stream in search for identity markers. Scrolling through the data flow in search of resonance - things that I could plus, share, or comment on that would signal to myself and others: I'm here, I exist - this is what's important to me.

Increasingly though, my data flow seekings have been more about self-education - arming myself with the knowledge and tools that will serve me on my journey from who I am now to who I want to be.
It could be argued that I haven't demonstrated much to you with how long it's been since I've dropped a new post.

Of course, if you brought it to my attention, I'd have excuses at the ready. Despite deciding to rename this 'Raw Thought', I don't find it easy to drop raw thought here. Maybe it's because it's a blog and I read so many good ones, I'm hesitant to push anything out that isn't a step above what I post elsewhere (G+ and such). Maybe it's because pushing past that fear and hesitation, getting to the right mental space, is something I can only infrequently accomplish.

Excuses aside - I wanted to post this. I wanted to let those of you kind enough to read it that I'm still here. Now that all this time has gone by, I can tell you that there are times when life will knock it out of you. That what it takes to keep going sometimes won't be visible to those watching - but you can hold onto it.

I can tell you also that the closer you get to where you want to be - especially when you finally start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel - it will seem harder. Those last few inches between you and the surface you're about to break through to are the hardest. Many will get close and cave at the edge. Don't be that guy.

It's true, you might lose. You might not make it. If so, don't let the reason you don't make it be that you gave up. If you're going to go down - go down swinging.
